Everyone these days wants to publish a book, hoping it will save them from a 9-to-5 job.
I have over 25 years of experience publishing books.
I now do self-publishing for others, plus I am also a literary agent.
For many of my authors, it's their first book.
70 % of my authors live in Tucson... the rest are from all over the country.
I do novels, fiction, non-fiction, children's books, memoirs... just about everything.
I always use IngramSpark for printing and online distribution... I never use Amazon for novels.
You would be an independent subcontractor who works from home.
For now, it is part-time, but it will become full-time very quickly if you know what you are doing.
This job does not pay by the hour.
It pays a flat fee for the completed job, which typically takes about 6 weeks.
You must have your own computer and book formatting software.
You get paid when the job has been satisfactorily completed to the author's liking.
I'm looking for someone who lives in Tucson so we can meet at my office whenever needed.
There is very little training involved; you are expected to already know how to do this.
Ideally, you would start in April, definitely by May.
I'm looking for someone who can format a book from start to finish in accordance with Ingram Spark specifications.
I will need to see at least 2 examples of online books you have published yourself through IngramSpark.
You must also have experience creating book covers with Canva...
You must have proofreading and editing AI software.
You should have some experience creating eBooks, both Kindle and EPUB.
The ideal person would have experience creating graphic art illustrations.
The ideal person would also have experience creating author websites.
