Temporary Research and Editorial Assistant for History Professor

compensation: $20 per hour
A visiting history professor at the University of Arizona is seeking a temporary research and editorial assistant to help with a time-sensitive project. The ideal candidate will be a current student or recent graduate with a strong interest in history and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Preparing documents for publication, including formatting and editing
Ensuring proper Chicago citation style for footnotes and bibliographies
Organizing and assembling historical documents
Transcribing audio or handwritten materials
Light editing and proofreading
Compiling contact information for various publications and outlets
General administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:

Current student or recent graduate, preferably in history or a related field
Strong understanding of Chicago citation style
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other relevant software
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation:

$20 per hour via Venmo
Temporary position from June 24th to June 29th
