Digi 002 003 mr PRO fixit guy $148 ??

I have 2 of these 003 units,and have never had any "line pot crackle'
This "pretty darn good tech" guy should give some credentials and name if this is not a fraud
How did he test them? It take a authorized Pro Tools account to use these interfaces,let alone test them.
Deoxit and spray paint?
Paint me skeptical
