We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Ironworkers and Ironworker Foremen to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metal construction, along with welding experience and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.
This role involves erecting and installing structural steel members—including beams, columns, ledger, bracing, and decking—as well as miscellaneous metal items such as handrails, gates, stairs, and canopies, in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Candidates applying for the Field Foreman position must also demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to guide, motivate, and supervise crew members in a positive and professional manner. Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine erection requirements
Perform welding using SMAW and FCAW processes, including air arc gouging
Operate hand and power tools including mag drills, torches, grinders, TC guns, Hilti powder-actuated tools, lasers, levels, spud wrenches, and sleever bars
Measure and cut materials accurately using a tape measure to ±1/16” tolerance, and square materials to the same tolerance for field modifications
Perform proper rigging practices, including use of chainfalls, come-alongs, wire rope chokers, and nylon chokers
Provide crane signaling when required
Maintain a clean and safe job site while following company safety policies and applicable AWS D1.1 and ASME codes and standards
Work collaboratively with team members and other trades to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Foremen: Lead and direct ironworkers to ensure company safety, productivity, and quality standards are met
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in structural steel erection
Proficiency in SMAW and FCAW welding
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Strong understanding of basic math and measurements
Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment preferred
Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety
