A+ Handyman Services is a locally owned and family-operated company serving Tucson and surrounding communities. We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and professional tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to grow with a company that values honesty, reliability, professionalism, and customer service.
This position will begin part-time while we evaluate skills, workmanship, reliability, professionalism, and overall fit. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.
We are not looking for someone who specializes in only one trade. We are looking for a well-rounded technician who can perform a variety of residential and light commercial repairs and maintenance tasks.
What We Do
Our technicians perform a wide variety of residential and light commercial repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects including:
• Drywall repair and finishing
• Texture matching
• Stucco repair and texturing
• Interior and exterior painting
• Trim and finish carpentry
• Door installation and repair
• Cabinet installation, repair, and adjustments
• Tile installation and repair
• Luxury vinyl plank (LVP), sheet vinyl, and linoleum flooring
• Basic plumbing repairs and fixture replacement
• Basic electrical repairs and fixture replacement
• Ceiling fan and light fixture installation
• TV mounting
• Furniture assembly
• Minor masonry and block wall repairs
• Fence and gate repairs
• Patio and pergola repairs
• Fascia, trim, and exterior wood repairs
• Roof maintenance and minor roof repairs
• Shingle roofing repairs
• Concrete and masonry patching
• Property punch lists and maintenance repairs
• General residential and commercial maintenance
No two days are the same. We are looking for a technician who can troubleshoot problems, communicate professionally with customers, and complete quality work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
• Strong drywall and texture matching skills
• Experience with stucco repair and painting
• Finish carpentry experience
• Experience installing doors, trim, cabinets, fixtures, and hardware
• Tile installation and flooring experience
• Basic plumbing knowledge
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Experience with exterior repairs and maintenance
• Familiarity with roofing materials and minor roof repairs
• Ability to work independently
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Strong attention to detail
• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
Requirements
• Must be able to pass employment verification, reference checks, driving record checks, and background checks related to the position
• Must be physically capable of lifting, climbing ladders, and performing physical work throughout the day
• Must be comfortable using a smartphone for communication, scheduling, photos, and job documentation
• Must be able to represent the company professionally while working in customers' homes
Tools & Vehicle
• Applicants must provide their own everyday hand tools and trade tools
• Company vehicle provided for work-related travel
• Company pays fuel, insurance, registration, and vehicle maintenance expenses
• Larger specialty tools, ladders, and equipment are provided when needed
What We Do Not Typically Do
• HVAC service and repair
• Large plumbing projects
• Large electrical projects
• Landscaping and lawn maintenance
