The illustrated chart indicates this is designed for Lion batteries from 7.2 to 18 volts. I have no Makita tools or batteries to test it, but, when plugged into 110VAC, the middle light at bottom flashes green with no sparks, smoke, or breakers tripped, so I would assume it is functional.
