Are you looking to get a 6L80/6L90 rebuilt or remanufactured for your car, truck, work truck, street rod, hot rod, LS swap or project vehicle? I'm your guy! Bench work on GM transmissions is all I do. No Ford, no Chrysler, no imports. Just 2wd/4wd/AWD GM. I offer two different builds based on your budget and needs. These transmissions are "plug and play." No need to go to the dealership and get the transmission programmed. You will be very happy with how my transmissions shift. Firm but not harsh. A great balance of performance and comfort.

Text or email is preferred. If you call and I don't answer, please leave a message. I'll reply when I can. I have an unrelated full time job and can't always reply while working. Because this is not my full time job, a complete build usually takes between one and two weeks. Builds are first come first serve. I will not ship, or accept cashiers check. Cash only in a face to face transaction. Delivery available for an extra fee. Every transmission rebuild comes with a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty. I have a LLC registered with the state of Arizona.

My rebuild procedure is as follows:
1.) Complete disassembly. Valve body, pump, drums, everything. Right down to the last nut, bolt and snap ring.
2.) Full clean up. Large parts through my industrial parts washer, small parts through my ultrasonic cleaner.
3.) Thorough inspection. Hard parts are checked to make sure they are in tolerance and pistons are not cracked.
4.) Transmission control module (TEHCM) is programmed to your vehicle making it plug and play.
5.) Careful assembly. Clutches are pre-soaked, rings and seals are pre-lubed, and all hydraulic circuits are air checked.

Stock Plus; Running errands in town or a road trip across the country, this is the build for you.
-New gaskets, seals, rings
-New molded pistons
-New Borg Warner or Raybestos frictions
-New filter
-New bushings (Including Teflon pump bushing)
-New Torlon check balls
-New "Drop In" Pressure regulator valve
-Cooler bypass delete kit
-Remanufactured TEHCM (If necessary. See IMPORTANT DETAILS.)
-Remanufactured torque converter

Price: $2600

Heavy Duty; Includes everything in the Stock Plus AND
-FULL Trans-Go 6L80/90 shift kit
-BILLET Remanufactured torque converter

Price: $2900

If a full rebuild is not in your budget, I also perform repairs. The number one problem I see with the 6L is a failed torque converter clutch. When this happens, the clutch in the torque converter comes apart and sends clutch material throughout the entire transmission. This repair is as follows:

Complete disassembly, clean up, inspection and reassembly. Includes machining of the pump halves if necessary (Cost is deducted from price if NOT necessary). Just like a full rebuild, but I only replace out of tolerance or damaged parts. It also includes a remanufactured torque converter. Does not include a new TEHCM. *Assumes no other damage or broken parts.*

$1000 out the door for a stamped cover torque converter.
$1200 out the door for a BILLET cover torque converter.

All other repairs are a flat $500 labor fee plus parts. 90 day warranty on all repairs.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:
TEHCM = Transmission electro-hydraulic control module. This is the "brain" of the transmission.
-Scan for codes BEFORE you remove the transmission. If there are no codes present, I will rebuild and reuse your original TEHCM. This will save you $200 off the listed price. If you do not scan for codes, I will have to assume the TEHCM is bad and replace it.
-Leave the cooler "block" on the bellhousing if your trans has one. I will install the cooler bypass. Otherwise I will ship the bypass with the completed trans and the customer will be responsible for installation.
-I offer a transmission jack "loaner" to my customers. Deposit amount of $250 is required. Refunded in full when jack is returned in good condition.

Increased stall or billet converters available (contact for details)
*Prices assume all "hard parts" are within tolerance and reusable. Any unusable components will be extra.
*Prices do not include transmission or torque converter core charge.
*Core refund assumes all "hard parts" are within tolerance and reusable. Any out of tolerance components will count against your core refund.
