This 70-235 f4.5 Soligor Auto Zoom uses the M42 threaded mount applicable to Pentax, Praktica, Pentacon, Contax D, and some other SLR cameras, and even some 16mm cameras such as the Krasnogorsk 3 mirrored reflex. It has a sliding collar with a tripod socket for balance centering and a lock knob for vertical or horizontal or off-centered composition. With a wider focal range and faster speed than most SLR tele-zooms, it is very popular for sports, nature, and entertainment venues where you wouldn’t want to spook the athletes, alligators, or actors on stage.
