This 25mm f1.4 Switar RX C-mount lens is designed to provide the sharpest possible image. Made by world famous Bolex of Switzerland, its glass is excellent, focus smooth, and its iris control incorporates the Bolex unique depth of field indicator. Note, RX C-mount is designed to compensate for the slightly greater backfocus of Bolex Reflex and Bolex Rex cameras. Using standard C-mount lenses of less than 50mm focal length on these cameras will not focus to infinity correctly and risks scratching the pellicle (prism) between the lens and focal plane. Also, RX lenses, when used on other types of cameras, will not focus to infinity correctly. RX lenses are designed exclusively for, and are absolutely necessary for Bolex Reflex and Rex cameras.
