Sunday July 15- several professionals responded so far. I'm not quite up to speed for any gig...as far as I figure.
I can strum chords and can keep a good beat but I'm not ready for prime time. I love to jam with skilled folks that I can learn and create with and learn new stuff while remembering the books full of stuff I learned and forgot long ago...
Tunes I can play sorta competently:
Needle and The Damage Done-Neil Young
Don't Be Denied- Neil Young
Down By The River- Neil Young
House of the Rising Sun-Eric Burden
Carmelita- Warren Zevon
Cocaine Blues- Traditional/Jackson Browne
Willin- Lowell George
...and many more either by heart or a quick glance at the chord list..
Semi-crappy, intermediate level guitar player looking to practice and jam more often with like-minded folks. I can strum most chords, if I don't know a chord, I can learn it fast. I had a few years of formal music education back in high school band days, so I can still almost sight read bass lines.
Sometimes I croak, wail, howl or screech in tune.
I have my own semi-crappy guitars, Yamaha keyboard and Fender practice amp and a semi-crappy truck to haul them in.
NW side, OV, Catalina.
Pics are of the model of guitar I try to play, a 1964 Sears Silvertone Model 1457 original tuners and "lipstick" pickups with a Rainbow Guitars installed Danelectro bridge for better intonation.
