TROMBONES, Clarinets, Rhythm, (Tucson, AZ)

We are a 12+ member brass ensemble looking for volunteer Trombonists of all calibres!
Also need folks who want to work on their chops on Clarinet, or anyone who wants to shake a tambourine, slap a conga or punch a cow bell!!
(Redundancy on instrumentation takes the pressure off having full attendance for any particular gig.)
We play everything from 60’s funk-soul-R&B to 70’s horn bands and beyond! Ska version of Mood Indigo anyone? Every once in a while we’ll even throw in a polka tune or the Can-Can!

We are the Desert Chameleon Brass Ensemble. Chameleons, because we can adapt & play to any gig/audience. Jazz/rock/soul music is what we primarily love to play, but we've been known to do Christmas songs for Winterhaven; Oktoberfest music for a Lutheran church. We do mostly community events, Second Saturday’s Downtown and the Metal Arts Village off Fort Lowell on Dodge.
We are a no-audition, democratic, volunteer group of musicians from 20's to 60's who just love to play, blend notes and practice improvising. Occasional earnings may cover travel costs, music, refreshments.

Interested? go to our Desert Chameleon Brass Ensemble Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/DesertChameleon/

We rehearse Monday nights from 6:30 to 8pm. We rehearse mainly in the Midtown area of Tucson. Currently, near intersection of Broadway and Country Club.
