This is, without a doubt, the best money I've ever spent. I've enjoyed hundreds upon hundreds of hours playing this piano, but I'm moving and it's time to find a new home for my beloved Yamaha.
It has absolutely no issues. It looks beautiful, plays flawlessly, and has been regularly tuned. The last tuning was in February of this year.
I knew Yamaha made exceptional pianos before I bought this one, but I didn't truly appreciate the difference until I spent time playing it. Strike a chord on many entry-level pianos—such as a Young Chang, Pearl River, or older Wurlitzer—and they simply don't have the same presence. On this Yamaha grand, every note resonates beautifully with a rich, full sound that's hard to describe until you experience it yourself.
This is the Yamaha G1, measuring 5'3", giving you the elegance and sound of a grand piano without dominating the room. The serial number, J3400902, dates it to approximately 1980–1981, widely regarded as one of Yamaha's finest production periods when these instruments were built to last for generations.
Because the piano is in my home, I'd like to limit showings to buyers who are genuinely interested. If you'd like to see it, please let me know your level of interest. Thank you in advance for understanding.
I'm available to show it in the early mornings before the heat sets in, or at other times with advance notice. I'm firm on the price. For transportation, I've used a local piano mover who typically charges around $250–$300.
