Sonor Designer Maple Light Custom 3-piece Bop Kit - Columbine Sparkle - $2,500 (Tucson)

This is a custom bop kit that my friend had made by Sonor in 2001 via their superlative “Designer” series. He even sent in a Ralph Lauren paint chip and had Sonor lacquer the shells in this custom “Columbine Sparkle”. I’m personally very attracted to the color - it’s distinctive and, dare I say, sexy.
Specs:
16x18 12-ply, 8.8mm maple bass drum
10x12 9-ply, 6.7mm maple rack tom
12x14 9-ply, 6.7mm maple floor tom
- Double-long lugs on all drums
- Designer “STARS” bass drum mounting plate and tom holder
- Made in Germany
- SKB padded hardshell cases
These are in flawless condition. They’ve never been gigged with, always kept in their high-quality SKB hardshell cases…I believe they weren’t even played a single time - they were simply a piece of art to be admired by a collector.
