Protocaster Prototype III (late 1940s Fender pre-Broadcaster)
The very first Fender was the "Snakehead", the second was the Prototype 2 (see pic above) and the 3rd was like this one (only change from v2 to v3 was the position of the control plate).
In 2020, the great Josh Grove at Protocaster was making several blackguard Telecasters and, in one of the runs, decided to make a pair of these Prototype III models (only 2 and I have them both!).
This one, like its sister, it is a truly awesome guitar! (easily as good as any Custom Shop Fender I've ever played!!!).
The only change I made is, as you can see, I put one of the great Thorn Brass Knuckle bridges on it (the original saddles will be included or I can swap them back on and keep the Brass Knuckle (-$60).
The guitar weighs 7lbs 5oz and the neck is a really nice, full "C".
Incredibly great Gemini Broadcaster pickup.

$2500 cash only/no trades.
The guitar will come in an almost new Gator padded gig bag.
