For Sale is my mint Taylor LKSM-12, otherwise known as the Leo Kotke Signature Model 12 String. This is not your usual Taylor. As a Signature Instrument it reflects the tastes of the artist. Leo wanted a deeper, more intense sound for his Taylor Signatures (they made a LKSM-6 as well). This 12 is tuned down three steps to C#. It is a JUMBO body. Leo specified a different bracing system to get just the right sound at the lower tuning. It has a lovely, rich and dynamic sound. It goes from delicate to just huge. It must be heard. Finger style to strumming, it does it all. A completely different voice.
This model was discontinued long ago. Mine is in perfect shape because it has almost no playing time on it. Never gigged. Smoke free. Humidified.
