Thanks to players like Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins and Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine,the Fender Blender is now a coveted, and rare, vintage pedal. This is a 2010 reissue, original Blender pedals sell for alot more.

The Blender can be used for leads by metal players looking for an ultra-aggressive tone.

The Blender can get an AWESOME octavia sound with the neck pickup and the sustain knob down, very smooth like the Hendrix and KWS octavia sounds.

The Blender included four controls; the Volume knob, Sustain, Tone knob to adjust the tonal balance from low to high frequencies and the Blend which mixes the output ratio of unprocessed and processed signals, which also modifies the octave range. Added to that is a Tone Boost footswitch that enhanced equalization of the Tone knob.
