This is “tartS”—a fully sorted, heavily upgraded tobacco-sunburst Strat build with a 2004 Squier/Yako neck and an excellent HSH pickup configuration.
It is absolutely not a stock Squier.
Upgrades and features:
• Seymour Duncan/Fender Pearly Gates Plus bridge humbucker
• Seymour Duncan SSL-4 RWRP Quarter Pound middle pickup
• Fender Duo-Sonic humbucker in the neck
• Working coil split for the bridge humbucker
• Grover locking tuners
• Traditional Strat tremolo
• Professionally absurd “tartS” identity
• Hard-shell case included
The Pearly Gates Plus gives it a strong, articulate rock bridge tone; the Quarter Pound middle is substantially bigger and hotter than a normal Strat pickup; and the neck humbucker is thick, smooth and wonderfully grungy. The thick neck humbucker sounds backwards from a vanilla Strat, hence “tartS”… Splitting the bridge adds a brighter single-coil-style option. Very articulate.
The bridge and saddle spacing have been sorted, and the guitar tunes and intonates properly. The neck is straight and feels excellent. It is ready to plug in and play.
This is a great choice for someone who wants a unique, versatile Strat rather than another factory-stock guitar. It can cover clean Strat sounds, ’90s alternative and grunge, classic rock and considerably heavier material.
$425 or reasonable offer, including the hard-shell case. Cash and local pickup in the Tucson/Vail area. I’ll also do Venmo, Zelle, or PatPal. If the ad is up, it’s available.
