This is a luthier-made classical guitar from the shop of Kim Jeong Gon out of South Korea. It's number 205, and has a solid Spruce top, solid Rosewood back and sides, a 52mm nut, and French polish finish. I consider this to be a very special guitar - it's not incredibly loud, but has a fantastic, sweet tone with a really good balance between treble and bass strings.

At some point there was some damage along the left top of the lower bout, but it was repaired before I obtained this guitar and has given me no issues or problems. Lots of playwear on this instrument, and there was a special saddle designed to eliminate intonation issues on the B and G string. Everything plays in tune nicely, and this instrument has been priced to reflect the repairs described above.

Also, there is an LR Baggs Lyric pickup system installed currently, and it's been tested and is in working order. Strings are set up at standard classical height (4mm E6, 3mm E1) with lots room to lower the strings if desired. This guitar has been kept at continuous 45-50% humidity throughout its service in my hands.

This is an older guitar that has had repairs and adjustments along with the addition of a pickup system and an externally accessible 9V battery case. It's seen 22 years of playwear as well, so there's an assortment of dings and scratches. Please consider this before considering this instrument.

It comes with what looks like it's original, hard-shell case.

Please note: inspection/audition/pickup will be at the Walgreen's parking lot at River and Craycroft.
