Qualitas Industries is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing. The ideal candidate must possess prior knowledge of aerospace industry standards and practices, with hands-on experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment.
This role will collaborate closely with management to uphold quality standards and strengthen detection and assurance processes across the production lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct routine inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Perform dimensional inspections and compare final output to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect welds and validate compliance with aerospace standards.
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, and CMM tools to ensure precision and accuracy.
• Record detailed inspection results and maintain quality control documentation.
• Verify material identity and confirm metallurgical requirements have been satisfied before approving parts for shipment.
• Evaluate both in-progress and completed parts for discrepancies or deviations.
• Identify and document nonconforming materials or services (including outsourced and purchased components).
• Support Quality Program Manager in incident investigations, including collecting relevant data, samples, and documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support team goals and maintain continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing is required
• Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment strongly preferred
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities
• Solid understanding of quality control methods and principles
• Basic math skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Comfortable using computers and standard MS Office applications
• Effective communicator with ability to engage across internal teams and external vendors
