We are seeking a skilled and reliable Universal Equipment Operator to join our construction team. This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery to support site development, excavation, grading, and other construction activities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multiple types of equipment and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, scrapers, loaders, graders, backhoes, and skid steers
• Perform site preparation, grading, trenching, and material handling
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Follow project plans, blueprints, and supervisor instructions
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors
• Assist with general labor tasks when equipment operation is not required
Qualifications:
• Proven experience operating multiple types of construction equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices
• Ability to read grade stakes, plans, or blueprints (preferred)
• Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and environments
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
Preferred Skills:
• OSHA certification
• Experience with GPS or laser-guided equipment systems
• Mechanical knowledge for minor equipment repairs
