We are seeking a detail-oriented Underground Utility As-Built Drafter to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate as-built drawings of underground utility installations using field notes, redlines, sketches, and survey data. The ideal candidate has strong drafting skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
Responsibilities
• Create and update as-built drawings for underground utility projects.
• Interpret field sketches, redline markups, survey data, and construction documents.
• Verify utility locations, elevations, and installed components for accuracy.
• Identify inconsistencies, missing information, and potential conflicts within project documentation.
• Troubleshoot drafting and data issues by coordinating with field personnel and project managers.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation.
• Ensure all drawings meet company standards and client requirements.
• Assist with project closeout documentation and record drawing preparation.
Qualifications
• Experience with AutoCAD and related drafting software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve discrepancies independently.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents.
• Experience with GIS, survey data, or utility mapping is a plus.
