Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Climber / Foreman to run crews in the field and perform advanced climbing and rigging operations. This position requires leadership, strong communication skills, and a high level of technical ability in tree pruning and removals.
You will be responsible for jobsite safety, crew productivity, customer interaction, and maintaining industry standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a tree crew on residential and commercial job sites
Perform technical tree climbing, pruning, and removals
Execute advanced rigging techniques safely and efficiently
Ensure compliance with ANSI Z133 safety standards
Apply proper pruning techniques following ISA standards
Conduct daily job briefings and enforce safety protocols
Operate and oversee the use of chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and other equipment
Communicate clearly with clients and maintain professional jobsite presence
Train and mentor crew members
Qualifications
3+ years professional tree climbing experience
Experience leading crews preferred
Strong knowledge of ANSI Z133 safety standards
Working knowledge of ISA pruning standards (or willingness to continuously improve)
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in heat and variable conditions
Ability to work overtime during peak season and storm events
