Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassione X-ray Technologist to join our outpient imaging team. The ideal candide will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures with precision, accuracy, and tention to pient comfort. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the technologist will contribute to pient care by producing high-quality images th aid in diagnosis and trement planning.
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
Opere CT equipment safely and effectively, including preparing contrast merials when required.
Verify pient identificion and review medical history for procedure approprieness.
Explain procedures to pients and address questions to ensure comfort and cooperion.
Properly position pients for imaging and ensure optimal image quality while minimizing radiion exposure.
Monitor pients during procedures, especially those receiving contrast agents, and respond appropriely to adverse reactions.
Process and transfer images to PACS and ensure proper documention in pient records.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of CT rooms and equipment; report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
Follow all infection control, safety, and radiion protection protocols.
Collabore with radiologists, referring physicians, and team members to support efficient workflow and pient care.
Participe in continuing educion to maintain ARRT certificion and stay current with evolving CT technology and practices.
Assist with quality assurance and accredition efforts as directed.
Qualificions
Gradue of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Current certificion by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT).
Valid ste licensure (if required by ste law).
Current hands-on CPR/BLS certificion (must be maintained).
Minimum of 1 year of CT experience preferred.
Experience with various CT equipment vendors (e.g., GE, Siemens, Philips) is a plus.
New gradues may be considered with clinical experience and strong technical aptitude.
Skills and Competencies
Cross-sectional anomy, CT imaging techniques, and medical terminology.
Radiion safety principles, including ALARA guidelines.
Contrast media usage, administrion protocols, and emergency response procedures.
PACS/RIS systems and digital image processing.
Proficient use of CT imaging equipment and positioning techniques.
Effective communicion with pients, physicians, and coworkers.
Technical troubleshooting and critical thinking in clinical situions.
Accure documention and tention to detail.
Provide high-quality, pient-centered care in a clinical setting.
