It's fascinating how fish create ammonia and the ammonia makes nitrate fertilizer for the plants and the plants grow 5 to 9 times faster than gardening in pots or the ground. Plus, Aquaponics uses 1/20th the water that gardening in pots or the ground does! (You're going to have to ask about 1/20th. Don't want to spoil the surprise!)

*** And, no, the Aquaponic garden plants do not taste like fish! And, the fish in Aquaponics taste "sweet". (Aquaponic water is clean compared to the nasty water at Fish Farms. Imagine the fish swimming around icky, nasty water at the farms.)

*** How does Aquaponics work? Simply explained it's all about ammonia. You feed the fish and they poop and "pee" and the pee is ammonia (nitrite). The water then recirculates through the grow beds, either clay balls or lava, which have microbes living in it that break down the nitrite to nitrate. (Just like in streams or rivers.) Nitrate is a fertilizer. The plants consume the nitrate. The Aquaponics system stays in balance. Isn't this cool?
*** Plants grow 5 to 9 times faster that plants in soil. (Because the food is constantly circulating.)
*** Aquaponics uses 1/20th the water of plants growing in the ground. (Because when you water plants in the ground, the plants use only about 5% of the water as it passes the roots. Hard to say traditional watering is wasteful, but I guess it is compared to Aquaponics.)

2. POND CARE
Do you need pond help? We have pond supplies. Water murky? Sludge and muck? Chemistry off? Need filters? Aeration? ... we have pond supplies that can help clean up that pond as well as aerate it. Check out the pictures. Pumps. Air pumps. So much more. Our prices are so low, but we price match, but we win! PLUS GOOD ADVICE. Existing ponds (take note Koi pond people) are perfectly suited for Aquaponics since you can raise a vegetable or flower garden while cleaning and oxygenating the water for your fish.
3. WATER HARVESTING

4. HYDROPONICS. What do you need. We design, put together and provide everything you need. Advice, of course.
*** USING YOUR HARVESTED WATER IN TOTES: SO you harvest water and have a TOTE-IBC and need to hook it to a hose. How do you change that metric spigot to one that is US standard? Easy. Get a GATOR LOCK cam lock from EcoGro which you put over the existing spigot and, voila, you have the American standard plumbing specs.
