This set is used and priced low because of a few imperfections:
The Table Leg: One of the table legs is broken. I have braced it/set it up so it is currently sturdy and works awesome for daily dining, but it is a permanent "character" feature of the table.
Minor Wear: There are some small scuffs/imperfections from normal use, which actually blend in well with the factory "distressed" look of the set.
Why buy this? This set currently retails for over $600 at Ashley and Homemakers. If you are a little handy or just don't mind the leg (since it still stands perfectly fine), you are getting a designer set for a fraction of the cost.
