100% Scratch, Small Local Bakery looking for 2 bakers.
1 full-time baker Tuesday - Saturday 6am-2pm and
1 Part-time baker, times and days are flexible and can be discussed during an interview,
Sundays would be a preferable day for us.
Mondays always off.
Bakery experience desired.
Overtime may be required during busy seasons.
Job Description for both positions include but are not limited to...
Macaronage.
Making and shaping French Bread.
Making other doughs.
Laminating doughs.
Making sweet and savory fillings, Cremes, Frostings, Icings, Glazes, Ganaches, & Custards.
Setting daily bakes.
Receiving and putting away weekly deliveries while also organizing dry storage, fridges, and freezers utilizing the FIFO rule.
Washing daily dishes.
Daily cleaning including sweeping and mopping.
Regular deep cleaning.
Job Requirements:
A sense of urgency,
Commercial bakery/kitchen experience,
The ability to multitask,
Knowledge of safe food handling,
Proficient in organization.
The ability to read and follow recipes proficiently.
The ability to mathematically scale up or down a recipe.
The ability to work independently and with others.
The ability to think, process, and find solutions on your own with confidence as needed.
The ability to take ownership of tasks of the entirety of the kitchen when needed. (opening and closing)
