This is a folded Voigt pipe speaker. It has a very nice sound and extended bass. You can read a lot of info on the cabinet style by searching "Voigt Pipes" on the internet. They are very popular. These use an 8" full-range driver, the Visaton BG20-8. You can search the Parts Express website to see it and get a description. A further search for DDVP-20_01 will get you a drawing of the cabinet.

As I mentioned above, the sound of the speaker is very pleasing and the bass is pretty impressive. However, after building the cabinet (a couple of times), I chose to cover them with a vinyl wrap. This didn't work out well with the vinyl sticking to itself and then bubbling up after application. The end result is the appearance is less than hoped for.

The wrinkled covering leads to my asking less than I have invested in these.

Come listen and see if these will fill your need for good sounding speakers.
