condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Sonance
model name / number: DSP2-750
Price is per amplifier. I will sell the pair for $1500.

I am selling my pair of Sonance DSP2-750 amplifiers. I currently have them configured as bridged monoblocks. They will easily drive any 8 ohm speaker you can put in front of them. You can also run them in stereo mode at 500w per channel into 8 ohms or 750 watts per channel into a 4 ohm load.

They are in good condition cosmetically, but do have some scratches from when the contractor removed them from the rack mounted home theater installation they were originally used in. They currently have vibration dampening rubber (not sorbothane, these are much better anti-vibration pads designed for heavy equipment and used mainly under industrial machinery.)

They work flawlessly and have a very powerful DSP (Digital Signal Processor), which has a great parametric equalizer and other features that are accessed through the home network/wifi. This allows you to tune the output to your taste, fix room nodes, and make speaker corrections.

Both amps have analog inputs, but I also have a single digital input card that allows you to send the digital toslink or spdif signal directly to the amplifier, keeping your music in the digital domain all the way to the speakers. If someone purchases a single amp, I will give you the choice of which input card you would like installed in the amp. Purchase both and I will throw in the digital card, which sells for over $100.

Why am I selling these monsters? I bought them with the plan to purchase original B&W 801's (series 80). They're great speakers but have a sharp rolloff in the deep bass due to their sealed enclosure, so I wanted a dsp-tunable amp that has gobs of power to boost the deep bass and flatten the overall response curve. After having three pairs of those speakers slip through my fingers as I tried to buy them, I have decided to go back to high efficiency speakers and plan to purchase a triode amp instead of using these high wattage solid state amps.

I have am using them currently in my stereo and will demo them in my home. I would also be willing demo them with your speakers if you are serious. They sound much better than you would expect. I'm currently using them with my JBL S412P speakers and they have more power than you can use and produce great stereo imaging and presence.

I may also decide to sell the JBL's sooner than I had planned - so, if you know what they are and want a pair, message me.
