1999 Tacoma V6 4x4 5 speed manual. Lots of mods over its lifespan. 355,000+ miles. Just put on in last 1,000 miles: battery, oil change, radiator flush and fill, inner and outer tie rods, alignment, plugs, wires, PCV valve and 1 ignition coil (Toyota parts) AC blows cold and heat works well. Timing belt done at 350,000. Has the classic 3.4 valve noise. I’ve changed the oil very regularly to make sure it’s not making any metal (which it isn’t). Even took it to a couple shops to verify it is indeed valve clearance. I was told at this mileage to absolutely just keep running it. Compression checked all cylinders and were good. A.R.E topper included. Winch and lights all work well. I’ve decided to purchase another Land Cruiser and need to free up some garage space. This isn’t perfect, at all. But runs solid, drives straight and shifts well. Would make a great donor truck for another build if the engine mileage concerns you. Feel free to give me a call or text and we can chat. Thanks!
