I am the second owner of this truck purchased in May. The original owner was a rancher in Oracle who worked for the department of defense, and this truck was only used as his fishing truck to drive up Mt. Lemmon (about 1,000miles a year). He did all the work on this truck when he had it and kept it in impeccable shape. It has a little over 42,000 original, actual miles on the Japanese Mitsubishi engine. I met a guy who just rolled over 450,000 miles on the same engine with no signs of stopping. Maintenance done on time, every time, and there are even the labels the original owner put on things in the truck so he knew when maintenance needed to be done. Only ever had 91 octane premium gas run through it. He had a custom shag carpet camping set up installed in the back when he bought it, which has storage underneath the removable center panels, and in the side compartments. The interior is in almost new condition, with the only real flaws being the one crack in the dash and the few tears in the driver seat. All original glass. The windshield had a ding in it when I bought it, which I had serviced and filled with resin. There is a town hitch setup I’ve never used, as my kid and I camp in the back and it’s perfect. We’ve driven this thing all over the state and it can be driven to NY and back with full confidence. I have put a ton of work into the truck since I bought it to make it as such, including the AC conversion!
-Front and rear break caliper pads
-Front and rear struts
-AC compressor conversion from R-12 to R-134a. Compressor and lines flushed and cleaned and replaced compressor oil
-All performance racing radiator w/ all new radiator fan assembly, wiring and temp sensor
-Webber carburetor w/new hoses, vacuum line plugs
-Webber glass fuel filter
-installed electronic fuel pump w/ CTI 86921 rocker kill switch and fuses
-All new spark plugs
***the transmission needs a rebuild! The only thing that wasn’t restored, and now needs a rebuild. The rebuild kit is $250-300$ and the labor around $1200. Once the transmission is rebuilt, its guts will be restored and this Mitsubishi engine will go forever. PRICE REFLECTS HOW MUCH THE TRUCK IS WORTH AND WILL BE WORTH FAR MORE ONCE TRANSMISSION IS REBUILT***
