1953 Plymouth Suburban 2 door station wagon w/ 2 speed overdrive. 6 cylinder runs good, drives decent. I haven't done any work to front end or bearings. Both driver and passenger door window glass are cracked, rear windows both slide and back hatch works good, has lock and tail gate is all good too. Not in drivable condition, rear brake cylinder leaks. Rear floor board areas have added sheet metal, no visible rust seen from underside of car; I dont know why this was put in, floor is solid when I step on them. Front floor board, where brake master cylinder access is, has patched sheet metal. Pass side floor board has some rust areas too; I can see a frame support column. I consider these two areas easily repairable to install carpet and sound/insulation matting material. I haven't done that because these suckers leak around the base of the windshield, the manual air scoop. I found that out about 15 years ago, I guy walked by and said that's why there is not many of these left. Sure enough, after he left I spayed garden hose and saw where the water came in. Car was parked in carport, about the first 10 years. Covered with costco tarps for the next 3 or 4 years, lasts about 6 months. Been exposed outside ever since. Needs headliner, has all the ribs, the seats are decent, the vinyl is very dry, took the armor all real well over 4 years ago. When both doors are open, you can see where the top of floor panel was not completed. Door stip panels are missing. Before I bought car, I thoroughly looked it over. I love the looks of this car. If you don't like or appreciate the beauty of my classic car, don't bother to waste my time. Serious buyers only. Been parked for over 25 years. After I bought it I fixed the listed tranny stuff, installed mentioned parts. That's when rear brake cylinder started to leak. Back then they were very expensive for me, to have them rebuilt or to deal with doing in myself. Now you can get them brand new. Was saving this for my retirement. It's almost here and I can see it not happening. I can thank the biden economy for destroying mine. New spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, armature, name brand coil over shocks, about 25 yrs old, less than 100 miles since, from Merles. 2 bbl carb was rebuilt and new brass bushings installed at that c.i.f.c. place in Tucson. New clutch and throw out bearing. Both flywheel re-surfacing and emergency brake band on tranny was done at Merles when they had a machine shop. Phone calls only, no texts. Please leave message, if no one answers.
