Jan Hagara is an American artist known for her collectible porcelain figurines and art prints. Her work is characterized by its focus on romantic, often Victorian-style, themes, with common subjects including young girls with dolls, animals like kittens and teddy bears, and a sense of nostalgia. She is best known for creating limited-edition porcelain figurines and also creates lithograph art prints. She has achieved global recognition and her work gained popularity from the 1980s onward. Hagara and her husband bought out the companies that produced her figurines, including Royal Orleans, and moved their operations to Georgetown, Texas, in 1987.
