This is a Native American handcrafted miniature Storyteller figure made by the artist initials, D.H. I believe it is Dorothy Herrera. It originates from Acoma, New Mexico and measures approximately 2" x 1.25" x 1.25". It is in excellent condition and was displayed in a glass cabinet in a smoke free home. Detail and paint work is amazing. Please see pictures.

In Native American art, a storyteller refers to a ceramic figure adorned with smaller figures of children. In Pueblo society, a storyteller is a real person who communicates the legends of their culture and helps to keep the oral history of the people alive.
