Here is a beautiful vintage 12 inch platter with black glaze and a gold flower design and trim.
The back is stamped Johann Haviland Baveria along with a crown over an R - for Rosenthal.

Johann was in production from 1907 to 1924. Rosenthal took over this Haviland branch some time around 1941.
The platter is footed which gives a rise of 2 1/4 inches from table to the rim of plate.

A metal wire is attached to the foot of the platter for hanging and display purposes.
The glaze and the gilding are in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. $125
