Great Condition Basalt ST All terrain e-bike
purchased it earlier this year, enjoyed several rides and commutes easily on roads and even on the Loop. I would use pedal assist often and cruised miles with ease. Using the bike lanes was manageable as the button trigger would bring me up to speed. It’s a real treat, but better for someone who needs a fat tire, extended battery life, potential off road/dirtbike capability and expandable options/accessories. I must part with it and get something a bit more my size & weight class
The step-thru frame makes this very manageable despite its bulk & power. Kickstand holds up really well.
It’s got quite some pep & the lights work really well at night. Brake light is activated by squeezing the levers whether or not lights are activated. Front light beams ahead and can be repositioned. The display is on the lowest brightness at the moment but can be changed to be even brighter
Only downside is: one of the mirrors broke off the first day I had it. ( I should have measured a bit more). I’ve been coming up with temporary fixes while choosing between the two mirror options on the site, but couldn’t decide
It is a Class 2 but since it’s meant for off road and even camping (the thing has a solar panel/inverter hookup) there is additional power behind it to take those hills and trails. If you take it easy and pedal more the battery will last you for a while.
The braking is something that spoiled me. I’m not sure I’m going back to regular old brakes after this. If you want steady stopping this will do.
The park assist/walking feature has helped me on occasion - I’m grateful for it.
The horn will get someone’s attention for sure.
Reduced in price so I can put more into my own bike & see what other e-bikes are out there. Willing to trade in cash if it suits me.
