This Schwinn Colligete is around 29 pounds...much lighter than the "classic" three speeds of the 1960's and 1970's. Vintage bike era. The bike has a 17" frame that will accommodate riders of a height of 5'4" up to 5'10" it is sporting a single gear drivetrain system, it's a free wheel which means you can pedal backwards freely giving you more flexibility than having a fixed gear which is constantly turning your pedals. So of course with this system you can glide freely whenever you choose to. The gear ratio with the large gear up front and the smaller gear in the back is a gear ratio that gives you an easy to pedal bike with a surprisingly fast top end speed. The bike is simplistic in its design because the step through frame allows very easy on and off access so if you have an injury, a disability or just don't like having to swing your leg way over the top of a frame to get on and off it this may be the bike for you! It's simplicity in its purest form! there is no gear changing. You will not get caught up and distracted with miss shifting and your chain will not be getting stuck in between gears during your ride, there are no shifting cables in your way and brake cables are run down along the frame of the bicycle which keeps them out of the way. This is a bike for someone who loves to ride but doesn't want to have to deal with a lot of parts that are always needing maintained, replaced, or messed with! It has a sporty front & rear fender that will keep any 💦 water and debris you may encounter off your back and other parts of your body. This bike has an excellent set of Bell flat defense tires on it, these tires are designed to minimize flats and they do an excellent job at it. This means less time for you fixing flats and more time for you riding. It has an upgraded front rim which gives you an excellent feel of the road and superb handling! It's really the type of rim all bicycles should have because it responds so well to the surface you're riding on and makes for a confident, fun, and in control riding experience. A couple of aftermarket accessories that were added to this bike are a safety bell to let people know that you are there! It also has an adjustable no tools needed water bottle cage which can mount to the frame or handlebar.
