This Schwinn Colligete is around 29 pounds...much lighter than the "classic" three speeds of the 1960's and 1970's. Vintage bike era, and won't be around long price at less than $150! Bike has a 17" frame that will accommodate riders of a height of 5'4" up to 5'10" it is sporting a single gear drivetrain system, it's a free wheel which means you can pedal backwards freely giving you more flexibility than having a fixed gear which is constantly turning your pedals. So of course with this system you can glide freely whenever you choose to. The gear ratio with the large gear up front and the smaller gear in the back is s outet up so that starting is not difficult and you have a surprisingly fast top end speed. The bike is simplistic in it s design because the step through frame allows very easy on and off access to the bike so if you have an injury, a disability or just don't like having to swing your leg way over the top of a frame to get on and off it this may be the bike for! It's simplicity in it's purest form for a bicycle there is no gear changing to get you caught up and distracted with misshifting and your chain getting stuck in between gears during your ride, there are no cables except for the front brake cable which is relatively short and is run down along the front fork of the bicycle which keeps it out of the way. This is a bike for someone who loves to ride but doesn't want to have to deal with a lot of parts that are always needing maintained, replaced, or messed with! It has a sporty rear fender that will keep any 💦 water and debris you may encounter off your back during your ride. This bike has a excellent set of Bell flat defense tires on it, these tires are designed to minimize flats and they do an excellent job at it. This means less time for you fixing flats and more time for you riding and enjoying this great bicycle. It has an upgraded front rim which gives you excellent feel of the road and handling capabilities,it's really the type of rim all bicycles should have because it responds so well to the surface you're riding on and makes for a confident, fun, and in control riding experience.
