A beautiful bentwood swivel Turn-of-the-Century Antique Desk Chair or Piano Chair.
With the swivel of the seat, the height adjusts up and down.
This is VERY sturdy chair with heavy manufactured iron parts at the base.
The original leather seat has been professionally reproduced from smooth, rich leather and is in Excellent condition.
The wood back appears to be oak or some kind of hardwood. I can not be sure.
No maker's stamp is visible but it may be the highly valued Thornet company that made this antique piece.
Three legged with casters. This is an old and beautiful rare chair.
This was purchased from a very high-end antique dealer in Nashville in 1980s.
