This rare vase was produced in the Tucson studio of Philobaum studios in Tucson, AZ by Eric Depan. A similar vase is selling at the elite Philobaum gallery for $2200. The vase stands 14 1/2 inches tall, and is 7 inches wide at the top/ 5 1/2 inches in the body, and 4 inches across. It is one of a kind and dates from the early 21st century. Eric Depan was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from University of Houston. He transitioned to a studio glass practice shortly after graduation through work/exchange and scholarship programs at Penland School of Craft, Haystack Mountain School, and Corning Museum of Glass. His pursuit of glass has led him to contracts in Fairbanks Alaska, Murano Italy, Kobo Glass in Toyama Japan and Augusta Glass Studio with Sam Stang and Kaeko Maehata. After residencies, teaching, and visiting artist opportunities at Appalachian Center for Craft, Chrysler Museum of Glass, and Pittsburgh Glass Center, he maintains his studio practice out of Houston, Texas.
