Your involvement in this study would consist of filling out questionnaires about your coping at two different times. You will also be invited to the laboratory at the University of Arizona while your spouse is deployed and will be asked to describe your experiences. <br>

JOB SUMMARY:  The Case Manager orchestrates services for all families participating in the Judicial Supervision Program implementing case plans for each family and conducting client intakes. The Case Manager provides supervisory oversight for the Visitation Monitors to include recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, recognition, and performance evaluation.<br>

QUALIFICATIONS:  The position requires a BSW or Bachelors degree in psychology, child welfare or human services and previous supervisory experience. Must possess strong time management and organizational skills; ability to assess situations, set priorities, and problem-solve effectively; willingness to work collaboratively with all JSP “partners” in a community of practice environment; understand prevention models and implementation; and model the theories and principles of supervised access. Effective verbal, written and communication skills are essential.  Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license and meet coverage qualifications of the Casa de los Niños automobile insurance provider.<br>

Grant funded salaried full time position. M-F, requires some evening/weekend hours. Salary range: $30,000-$37,000 doe + some benefits. Minimum qualifications: College and 2 years experience providing direct crime victim services, bilingual fluency in English/Spanish, and knowledge of community resources. Responsibilities include: Victim Advocacy/Assistance. Provide emotional support, information, victim rights advocacy and emergency assistance to survivors of homicide victims. Advocate responds to calls & makes follow up contact to provide direct services to survivors including, empathic listening, emotional support, & assistance to reduce the financial & emotional consequences of criminal victimization. Act as a liaison with police, prosecutors, Victim Witness & 88-Crime. Assist survivors in participating in the criminal justice process, apprising survivors of their rights & available services & provides personal & criminal justice advocacy. Advocate assists survivors with Victim Compensation, funeral, mental health & emergency financial assistance. Advocate assists survivors in dealing with media, creditors, landlords, school, employers, etc. Advocate makes referrals & connections to community resources. Advocate makes follow up calls & home visits. Advocate links survivors to other survivors /volunteers for support & advocacy. Advocate coordinates & facilitates bilingual support group meetings. Compose/prepare Spanish language portion of website & newsletter. Prepare and provide packets of Spanish language materials to survivors. Advocate assists in recruiting, training & coordination of volunteers, outreach events, community collaboration meetings, fundraising events, candle light vigils, program events. Advocate solicits discounted/donated goods & services from community & businesses for victim assistance and program needs. General office tasks; write correspondence, maintain logs, data base and files. Maintain phone, mail, volunteer & resource lists. Assist with the Homicide Survivors projects & program. Complete monthly statistical and project reports. <br>

Position Summary <br>
<br>
The University of Arizona (UA) Department of Gender and Women’s Studies and the Southwest Institute for Research on Women (SIROW) seek a highly motivated and resourceful individual to oversee the UA’s Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) program. The position will (1) develop external grant proposals (e.g. National Science Foundation, private foundations) to fund WISE related recruitment and retention activities and to further UA’s research agenda with regard to the recruitment and retention of female students in STEM fields; and (2) oversee K-12, community collage and UA outreach, recruitment and retention of female students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.<br>

The WISE program was established at the University of Arizona in 1976 as part of the Women's Studies Department and the Southwest Institute for Research on Women. WISE is governed by an Advisory Board consisting of several UA deans, faculty, and key external business people who are involved with the science and technology industries.  WISE works to motivate female students to enter careers in STEM disciplines and to support them in their studies.<br>

The qualified candidate will coordinate the activities and functions of the WISE program independently to ensure that program goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time limitations, and funding specifications. Proposal preparation will be a major focus, with the goal of the position’s funding to become part to full-time self sustainable on grant money after two years.  This is an extended temporary, academic professional, part-time position (30-34 hours/week), with the possibility of becoming full time in the future if grant funding is secured. Salary will be commensurate with experience. This is a benefits eligible position.  <br>
Duties and Responsibilities <br>
•	Develops (in conjunction with the WISE Advisory Board) new or revised program goals and objectives, and independently implements these.<br>
•	Prepares proposals for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors – specifically NSF, Arizona State, and private foundations.<br>
•	Oversees external funding research for the WISE program.<br>
•	Collaborates with UA faculty (e.g. College of Engineering, the College of Science) on external funding opportunities and WISE-related activities.<br>
•	Performs needs assessment and analyzes and studies participant, member and community needs for basis of program development and future research funding.<br>
•	Prepares periodic reports, financial statements and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.<br>
•	Supervises the activities of subordinates, including student workers/interns.<br>
•	Confers with and advises staff, students and others to provide technical advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions and program goals and policy interpretations; refers to appropriate department or person when unable to respond.<br>
•	Oversees WISE activities including (1) the WISE Living Learning Community in Gila Hall and works with RA to develop programming to build community in the dorm; (2) administers 3 endowed scholarship programs and the WISE travel stipend program; (3) reviews of applications or other program documents to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program; (4) recruitment of program participants, members and volunteers utilizing the most appropriate promotional or marketing methods such as individual letters, brochures or presentations at meetings; and (5) develops and oversees workshops, meetings and the Expanding Your Horizons conference with high impact on program and/or participants; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.<br>
•	Evaluates program effectiveness to develop and implement improved methods; devises evaluation methodology and implements; analyzes results and takes proper action based on outcome.<br>
•	Develops, compiles and writes communications and promotional literature for distribution such as newsletters, brochures or flyers; coordinates process from development through printing and distribution.<br>
•	Interacts and maintains liaison with students, faculty, staff and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.<br>

Minimum Qualifications<br>
•	Master’s degree in relevant field and three years experience working in STEM related educational and/or research position.<br>
•	Successful track record of obtaining external funding specifically from NSF, US Department of Education and/or private foundations.<br>
•	Experience/training in research methods and data analysis.<br>
•	Strong written and oral communication skills.<br>
Preferred Qualifications<br>
•	Experience working in interdisciplinary settings with minimal direct supervision.<br>
•	Previous experience working with K-12 schools and community colleges in Arizona.<br>
•	Knowledge of UA student databases and data systems.<br>
